(Data)love is in the air

After telling a close friend of mine that I started to blog about computer game design related stuff, she asked me if I could make one post about Datalove. So here goes;
Datalove is loose group of people that have certain beliefs, similar to those of the original hacker movement in the 1980s and 90s and/or Julian Assange the founder of Wikileakes, the popular whistleblowing website. The main principles of Datalove are;

Data is essential
Data must flow
Data must be used
Data is neither good nor bad
There is no illegal data
Data is free
Data can not be owned
No man, machine or system shall interrupt the flow of data
Locking data is a crime against datanity
Love data

Personally I find that the movement is important, especially in times like this, where governments can just turn off the Internets for millions of citizens. This is a real threat, and is happening right now in Yemen, Lybia and Allgeria.
So, spread the (Data)love. <3

  1. i was unaware of the Yemen, Lybia, and Allgeria.

    thanksyou :)

  2. Really great post!

    Just like the spice, the data must flow!

  3. Sounds like these people love data just as much as me! Followed

  4. I love data! Followed!

  5. Interesting....sounds like it deserves a blog of it's own?

  6. A one world order is forming.
